Nevada Bar Exam Format
Overview
The Nevada Bar Exam is administered over three days.
Day 1
The written portion of the exam is administered on the first and third days of the Nevada bar exam. The written portion of the bar exam consists of the Nevada essay questions and the Multistate Performance Test (“MPT”). On the first day, you will have four hours to answer four Nevada essay questions. You will have ninety minutes to answer one MPT question.
Day 2
The Multistate Bar Exam (“MBE”) is administered on the second day of the Nevada bar exam. The MBE is a multiple-choice test containing 200 questions. The MBE is split into a morning and afternoon session. Each session consists of 100 questions. You have three hours to complete each session.
Day 3
On the third day, you will have four hours to answer four Nevada essay questions.

Nevada MPRE Score Requirement
Nevada requires bar exam applicants to pass the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (“MPRE”). You must score 85 or higher on the MPRE in order to pass in Nevada.
Scoring/Grading and Results
In order to pass the Nevada bar exam, you must have a total scaled score of at least 75 and a scaled score of 75 or better on at least 3 essay questions. This passing, total scaled score equates to 140, based on the MBE’s 200-point scale. The scores of the exam sections are weighted as follows: written sections 67% and MBE 33%. Nevada makes bar exam results available approximately eight weeks after the exam.
