Florida Bar Exam Format
Overview
The Florida Bar Exam is administered over two days.
Day 1
The state portion of the exam is administered on the first day of the Florida bar exam. The state portion of the bar exam is Part A, which consists of the 3 essay questions and the 100 multiple choice questions. You will have three hours to answer the three essay questions. You will have 3 hours to answer the 100 multiple choice questions
Day 2
The Multistate Bar Exam (“MBE”) is administered on the second day of the Florida bar exam, which is Part B. The MBE is a multiple-choice test containing 200 questions. The MBE is split into a morning and afternoon session. Each session consists of 100 questions. You have three hours to complete each session.

Florida MPRE Score Requirement
Florida requires bar exam applicants to pass the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (“MPRE”). You must score 80 or higher on the MPRE in order to pass in Florida.
Scoring/Grading and Results
In order to pass the Florida bar exam, you need a score of 136 or higher on Parts A and B. If you only take one part of the exam, then a score of 136 or higher must be achieved on that part. The scores for Part A and Part B carry equal weight. Florida results are often released in mid-April for the February bar exam, and mid-September for the July bar exam.
