Oregon MPRE Score Requirement

Oregon requires bar exam applicants to pass the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (“MPRE”). You must score 85 or higher on the MPRE in order to pass in Oregon.

Scoring/Grading and Results

In order to pass the Oregon bar exam, you must score at least 274. This equates to 137, based on the MBE’s 200-point scale. The scores of the Oregon UBE sections are weighted as follows: MEE 30%, MPT 20%, and MBE 50%. Oregon makes bar exam results available approximately six weeks after the exam.

Reciprocity

Subject to certain requirements, Oregon permits admission on motion of an attorney: 1) from a jurisdiction having bar reciprocity; and 2) who has practiced law for five of the past seven years. Oregon provides reciprocity based on a UBE score of 274 attained in some other UBE jurisdiction in or after July, 2017, within the previous 3 years.
